Alex Lailvaux
Swim Teacher
Alex learned to swim at just three years old and has loved the water ever since. While completing the Duke of Edinburgh programme, Alex discovered a passion for teaching when volunteering as a swim teacher’s assistant. By 16, Alex had qualified as a swimming teacher and began teaching independently at 18. Alongside teaching, Alex also enjoys scuba diving.

Ellie qualified as a swimming teacher at 17, after two years of volunteering and assisting through the Duke of Edinburgh programme and the Aquatic Helper Award. She now specialises in teaching our youngest beginners and is much loved for her patient, encouraging approach that helps children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.
